Practicing Yoga at Home > Tips for Practicing Yoga at Home

I have been Practicing Yoga at Home for the last three years. It is so convenient and enriches my lifestyle immensely. I have an increased vitality, feel more positive and relaxed AND the best part is I lost 20 lbs - and several pant sizes!

Why I Practice Yoga at Home

My Yoga journey began with a class at the local community center. We were given some basic exercises to follow but not much more. Being an over-achiever, I attempted to perfect each pose and push my limits. The results? A strained back and not much appreciation for Yoga.

Needless to say, I got turned off of Yoga rather quickly and it was a few years before I attempted it again. In the meantime, I tried other types of exercise and dance classes in the attempt to enrich my health, fitness and lifestyle, and to control my weight. It seemed that I would just settle in to a favorite class and the schedule would change or the teacher would leave - only adding to my frustration.

Several years and numerous Yoga, dance and fitness classes later, I have finally found a solution that works for me. I practice at home! No more juggling classes, schedules and teachers, or fighting traffic to get to class on time. Just the bliss of practicing in the comfort of my own home!

While I have met some wonderful teachers and learned a lot from them, I find that practicing Yoga at Home is an ideal solution for me.

I get to practice Yoga with some of the world’s leading teachers, in some very exotic locations - all with the click of my remote or a tap of my iPAD in the comfort of my own home!
